Prologis and DP World to build distribution centre in London
DP World and Prologis have formed a 50:50 joint venture to construct a 2.94 hectare distribution centre in London's Gateway Logistics Park. It will have access to waterways, as well as road and rail networks. The distribution centre should be ready by spring 2015.

M&G Real Estate buys Royal Mail distribution centre
M&G Real Estate has acquired a Royal Mail distribution centre on Wakefield Europort in Normanton. The 220,000 sq ft facility was acquired on behalf of the M&G Property Portfolio at a cost of almost £13m. The facility is let to Royal Mail until December 2019. Read more...
Typhoo increases tea imports through Port of Liverpool
In 2012 the UK-based tea company Typhoo imported just 10% of its tea through the Port of Liverpool, with most coming in through Felixstowe and Southampton. However, this figure is expected to increase to 75% in 2014. This is because Typhoo believes that the Port of Liverpool's centric logistics will help its business to hit its carbon reduction targets.
