Raising funds for mental health charity Mind

'The Lake Escape' was organised by LSH’s property management team and has raised over £6,000 for mental health charity Mind.

The event, sponsored by Lockton, Ligtas and Swaine Allen Solicitors, saw a 50-strong team complete a 4km canoe phase on Lake Coniston, a 10km walk in the lower hills taking in the beauty of Tarn Hows Lakes, followed by a 125ft high abseil!

This was followed by a 5km walk back to Coniston!

‘The Lake Escape’ follows on from last year’s hugely successful ‘Summit, Cycle, Speed’ challenge, which also raised money for Mind.

Sophie Wisdom, National Head of Operational Service Lines at LSH, took part in the event and comments:

“It was great to see people coming together to have fun and most importantly raise funds for this amazing charity. The work that Mind do is incredible, and I hope the donations received will enable them to provide much needed help to those struggling with their mental health. A big thank you to everyone who took part and to our sponsors for their support.”

Charlotte Porter, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Mind, said:

“We are so grateful to LSH for supporting Mind as we help those of us affected by a mental health problem. A huge congratulations to the team for their amazing efforts in completing such a tough challenge. The money raised by LSH will help support our services, like the Mind Infoline, and the campaigning we do to ensure that the one in four of us who experience a mental health problem each year, do not face it alone."
