We have further expanded our Midlands Planning, Development and Regeneration team with the appointment of Director, Antony Harding.

Antony will be based in Birmingham, and joins LSH from Barton Willmore where he led on a number of major city centre projects including the Upper Trinity Street scheme, which was granted consent last month and comprises 946 apartments, together with 6,000 sq m of commercial space and a 133 bed hotel.

Prior to this, Antony has held a range of senior planning positions at Turley, DTZ, and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. He brings with him more than 25 years of planning consultancy experience, spanning the health, education, energy, leisure and logistics sectors, along with extensive local knowledge of Birmingham and the wider region.

Antony said: “As a Birmingham enthusiast with deep connections across communities, the cultural sector and the council, it’s a privilege to be working within central Birmingham at a time when we are experiencing a sustained renaissance and significant investment. I’m very excited by already being immersed in LSH’s pipeline of major projects and being back in such a vibrant and commercial environment”

Antony’s appointment follows a string of hires for the team with Senior Planner, Jeevan Thandi, and Secretary, Lorraine Hurdman, also recently joining the now five-strong team.

Steve Hemming, Head of Planning, Development & Regeneration for the Midlands at LSH, said: “It’s great to have Antony on board. He has a wealth of experience and passion for Birmingham and brings a fresh and creative approach to redevelopment of not just the city centre, but the wider city as well. Along with our other recent recruits, the team is now in really great shape to take forward our next stage of growth.”
