Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has scooped two national awards in recognition of its work within Wales.

The only UK-wide agency to have offices in both Swansea and Cardiff, LSH has earned the accolades of ‘Overall Regional Winner 2014’ and ‘Deals 2014 Regional Winner’ in an annual awards competition organised by Estate’s Gazette (EGi).

The Wales office has won the award eight times, retaining it from last year to beat off challenges from other national and regional players in the market.

The awards take results from an independent survey conducted by the EGi Research team covering commercial property transactions.

A record number of commercial property firms submitted their deals information this year with the judges reviewing the individual sectors of office, industrial, retail and leisure/hotel agency as well as activity in the investment market and the looking at the general picture.

LSH were clear winners for its office agency deals coming a close second in industrial agency and fourth in investment which culminated in them scooping the overall title.

Lee Mogridge, Head of LSH Wales, said: “We’re delighted to have earned these titles once again, proving how hard work and enthusiasm coupled with an understanding of both the commercial property industry and the region give us a clear market advantage.

“We’ve expanded our team considerably in recent months, strengthening a core of talented and dedicated individuals across all disciplines who I’m glad to see have received the recognition they deserve.”

Significant industrial transactions handled by LSH during 2014 include the letting of the 156,000 sq ft Fabian Park building on the outskirts of Swansea to Trojan Electronics, and the sale of the former 119,911 sq ft Unisem premises in Caerphilly to the Border Group.

In office agency, LSH negotiated the acquisition of the 17,000 sq ft1 Driscoll Buildings on behalf of Equiniti Group and are advising the BBC on the acquisition of 150,000 sq ft of new premises in addition to disposing of their two sites at Llandaff.
