We managed to secure two assets for an institutional client in a single, off-market, sale and leaseback transaction. A long standing relationship with the vendor and operating company generated the opportunity, which provided long term, index linked income, secured against a good covenant.
The preference from the purchaser to transact off‑market required that the due diligence process and contract period were expedited to secure the deal. The vendor’s desire to complete the sale process quickly necessitated that the purchaser have a proven track record in the sector.
