At Lambert Smith Hampton, we don’t see ourselves as separate from the community — we’re part of it. Sport sits right at the heart of that connection.
LSH Talks was created to celebrate the stories, values and people behind sport. We wanted to create space for conversations about leadership, resilience and community, shining a light on those who have led at the highest level while recognising that every journey starts on local pitches, in local clubs, with the support
of community.
Professional sport doesn’t exist without grassroots sport. And communities thrive when we back the people and places that bring us together. That’s why we support local clubs across the country, and it’s why we created LSH Talks — to share conversations that inspire and to invest in the connections that build stronger communities.

Jarlath Burns: Leadership and Community in the GAA
We opened the series with Jarlath Burns, President of the GAA, who shared reflections on leadership, the future of Gaelic games, and why community matters more than ever.
For LSH, with many team members actively involved in their local GAA clubs, this conversation resonated deeply. It was a reminder that sport’s true value lies not only in competition but in the connection and confidence it builds in people and places.

Tommy Bowe: Life On and Off the Pitch
Next, Tommy Bowe brought energy and honesty as he shared stories from life in professional rugby and the transition into broadcasting and business. Tommy spoke openly about the highs and lows of elite sport, the discipline it takes to perform at the top, and the challenge of stepping into new chapters with the same
drive and integrity. His reflections offered insights relevant far beyond sport, speaking to the resilience needed to adapt and grow.

Martin O’Neill: Lessons in Resilience
We closed the series with Martin O’Neill, whose reflections on leadership, decision-making under pressure, and staying true to your principles captivated the
room. In conversation with Paul McErlean, Martin shared lessons from managing at the highest levels of football, illustrating the importance of consistency and courage when the stakes are high.
Looking Ahead
LSH Talks wasn’t about show — it was about real conversations, community, and connection. It’s clear from the response that these conversations matter, and we’re committed to creating more opportunities for dialogue that bring people together and add value to the places we serve.
Thank you to Paul McErlean for expertly hosting, Anna Connor from AC Events for seamless delivery, and our design partners at Mashmob for capturing each moment.
And most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to the next conversation.
