Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has assumed management of the legendary 3 Mills Studios, taking over from Knight Frank.

The prestigious site, part of London Legacy Development Corporation’s (LLLDC) investment in east London, is famed for its cobbled streets, architectural charm, and warm campus-like feel, and is a key part of London’s and the UK’s creative industries infrastructure. With nine sound stages, ten rehearsal rooms, 75,000 sq ft of production space, screening room, cafe, repurposed historic gin-distillery offices and enhanced digital infrastructure, it’s one of the UK’s most distinctive creative hubs.

LSH has signed a three‑year management contract, with an option to extend—reinforcing LLDC’s long-term vision for the studios and its faith in LSH’s expertise. As part of this transition, the existing studio team is moving across to LSH and will retain the 3 Mills brand, ensuring seamless continuity and building on the site’s strong foundations.

To bolster support for this iconic site, LSH has reinforced the core team with its industry leading creative industries specialists. Combined, it is the undisputed market leader advising on creative industries real estate.

Leading the charge are two of the industry’s most renowned advisors Chris Berry and Paul de Carvalho. Their partnership signals a new era of innovation and expertise at 3 Mills.

Chris Berry, Senior Director at LSH, commented: “3 Mills is more than a studio, it’s a cultural landmark and a creative community. We’re thrilled to take on its management at such a pivotal moment for the industry. With Paul and I joining forces, and a powerhouse team behind us, we’re set to deliver something truly exceptional for the production industry who already know and love the site”

Paul de Carvalho, Head of Studios at 3 Mills Studios, added: I’ve known Chris for nearly 10 years and seen how he has built the LSH Media and Entertainment team into the leading real estate advisory group in this space. It’s a real pleasure to now be working together on such an iconic site, which everyone knows I am incredibly passionate about. 3 Mills Studios is steeped in history and creativity, and with our site team now joining LSH, we’re in an even stronger position to deliver continuity, energy, and fresh momentum. There’s huge potential here, and Chris and I and our combined teams are excited to help shape its next chapter.”

Under the management of LSH, 3 Mills now benefits from a team uniquely positioned to advise across all aspects—spanning investment, development, asset management and tenant representation across the UK and internationally.

Shazia Hussain, CEO of LLDC, said: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of LSH to manage and continue to grow the 3 Mills Studios campus and support TV and film production and the creative industries here in east London.  London ranks in the top three busiest cities for film production globally, and 3 Mills Studios plays a key role in the production capacity London has to offer as part of the Thames Estuary Production Corridor - an important Mayoral initiative to build a world-class centre for creative and cultural production along the Thames Estuary. With established creative venues such as 3 Mills Studios, Here East and East Bank – home to partners including BBC Music Studios, V&A East, Sadler’s Wells East, and London College of Fashion (UAL), Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is rapidly becoming a major hub for media and culture, providing opportunities for innovation, creativity and learning for communities.”
