Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has secured a major office letting at Francis Bacon House in St Albans, with a blue-chip occupier taking the top two floors of the building.

Acting on behalf of St Albans District Council, and working alongside joint agents Atchinson Rafferty, LSH negotiated the 5,692 sq ft deal at a rent of £40 per sq ft. The transaction was greatly supported by LSH’s Investment Management team.

The letting follows LSH’s recent success in advising on the full letting of Eleanor Omerod House to CoSpace and demonstrates the firm’s leading role in driving office market activity across St Albans.

Jay Moore, Director at Lambert Smith Hampton, commented: “We are delighted to have secured this significant letting at Francis Bacon House, which we believe is likely to act as a catalyst for the other interest we have in the scheme.”

Sean Brew, Managing Director of LSH Investment Management, said: “Securing such a high calibre occupier to this flagship SADC development is testament to the quality and premier location of the development. This successful letting marks an exciting milestone for the scheme and reinforces the strong demand for best-in-class workspaces in St Albans."

Demand across the wider scheme remains strong. LSH has the majority of the ground floor under offer and the lower ground floor lined up for complementary occupiers, with c. 9,900 sq ft of office space still available across the ground, first and second floors.
