Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has leased a modern distribution unit spanning 134, 824 sq ft to Card Factory, vacated by its client Fox’s Biscuits.

The building located in Wakefield comprises a high-quality warehouse constructed in the late 1990s, benefiting from 16,000 pallet spaces, 50 car park spaces and a secure goods yard.

Primarily used as a distribution unit, the warehouse is located off junction 41 of the M1, with over 1.2 million people employed within a 20 mile radius.  Wakefield itself is an expanding labour market, with a resident population forecast to increase by 24,000 by 2021. Furthermore, over 67,000 people are employed in the logistics and distribution sector in the nearby city of Leeds.

Scott Morrison, Director – Industrial and Logistics, at LSH commented:

“It is great news to complete the transaction in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We anticipated pent up demand and this unit didn’t disappoint, with a number of occupiers competing for the property from the outset given its prime location and transport links. We secured Fox’s an extremely favourable deal and are delighted to have concluded the transaction with Card Factory, who occupy a number of surrounding properties.”
