Lambert Smith Hampton’s Leeds office has completed the refurbishment of six industrial units at Parkside Industrial Estate, delivering modern, sustainable accommodation that has already generated strong occupier interest and demonstrates the benefits of a joined-up approach across the business.
Following the successful refurbishment of Unit 8 in 2024, the Building Consultancy team was appointed to refurbish a further five units over the following 18 months. The £1.5 million programme included replacing asbestos roofs with new composite roofing, installing decorative external cladding, replacing windows, removing gas infrastructure, upgrading lighting to LED and carrying out full internal refurbishments throughout.
The improvements have increased the EPC ratings from D to B, creating higher quality, more energy-efficient space while enhancing the long-term value of the estate.
The refurbished units have been well received by both the client and the market, with three units already let by LSH’s Industrial Agency team and a further unit currently under offer.
Aaron Lacey, Director at Lambert Smith Hampton, commented:
“This project shows how strategic refurbishment can transform existing industrial stock into high-quality space that meets the needs of modern occupiers. It’s particularly pleasing to see the positive market response and the success achieved through the collaboration between our Building Consultancy and Industrial Agency teams.”
