LSH was not only the most active industrial agent with 270 deals across the half year, EGi revealed, but at almost 4.5m sq ft, it transacted the most space of any agent, completing on nearly 50,000 sq ft more than JLL, which came second in H2.
Regionally, LSH came top of the league in the South East and also in Northern Ireland, acting on 1,984,278 sq ft and 964,358 sq ft respectively.
Nationally, LSH’s industrial team acted on some of the largest deals in the second half of last year, which helped to push it to the top spot, including 275,000 sq ft for XPO Logistics in Milton Keynes, 266,000 sq ft for Unicorn Containers in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, and 200,000 sq ft for CEF in Biggleswade.
Compared with the first half of 2017, overall space taken up increased by 3% to 45m sq ft in H2, EGi said, while the number of transactions completed fell by 5%, indicating the continued demand for larger sized industrial units.
