The Challenge

As part of its commitment to creating world-class delivery solutions for its rapidly expanding client base, consumer delivery specialist Hermes needed space from which to expand its Innovation Lab located in the city of Leeds.

One of the firm’s key requirements for its new Tech Hub was to bring together colleagues from its existing premises across city, which is quickly growing into the UK’s leading technology centre outside of London, as well as helping to increase its brand presence across the region and provide first class facilities for client visits.

Our Solution

We were appointed to advise on the acquisition of the new premises, which included the shortlisting of a number of options capable of meeting Hermes’ specific requirements.

As part of the brief, we also provided detailed advice on the Leeds office market and concluded negotiations with the landlord leading to the acquisition of 6,000 sq ft of exemplary, grade A office space at No. 1 Whitehall Riverside.

The Results

The new premises have allowed Hermes to expand its business by attracting highly-skilled staff and creating an inspiring and unique workspace, which includes 70 hot desks to support an agile working environment to drive productivity, as well as a private roof terrace overlooking the canal and adequate space to host external events, workshops and hackathons.
