Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has been appointed, following a competitive tender process, to advise Ravensbourne University London on the next phase of its London growth strategy, marking one of the most significant higher education property searches in the capital.

The instruction will see LSH support Ravensbourne University in its search for 90,000–125,000 sq ft of additional campus space across Docklands, East London and Stratford, with the new facilities targeted to be operational by Q4 2028.

Ravensbourne University London is internationally recognised for its focus on creative industries, digital media, design, fashion, film and technology, and is currently based in an award-winning, purpose-built campus adjacent to The O2 in North Greenwich. The University intends to retain this flagship facility while securing additional space to support its long-term academic growth, student experience and industry engagement.

The geographical focus for the search is along the Jubilee line corridor between Stratford and London Bridge, with a preference for a single building, although two buildings in close proximity will also be considered. Both leasehold and freehold opportunities are being explored.

David Earle, Head of Central London Office Advisory at Lambert Smith Hampton, commented:

“It is great to be partnering with an innovative and highly regarded university such as Ravensbourne. The search for 90,000–125,000 sq ft, following our recent London campus acquisition for the University of Sunderland, is now one of the largest active requirements for educational space in the Docklands, East London and Stratford area for over 20 years.”

LSH has begun drawing up a comprehensive shortlist of potential options and is open to proposals from landlords, local authorities and developers, including opportunities for refurbishment, redevelopment or new-build solutions that align with Ravensbourne’s academic vision and operational requirements.

The appointment further strengthens LSH’s track record in advising higher education institutions on complex, large-scale property strategies, and reflects growing demand from the education sector for well-connected, future-ready space within London’s key regeneration corridors.
