Dale, who joins the Bristol office of LSH from Alder King, brings significant experience to his new role as Director of Planning and Development for the South West and Wales.   His appointment follows the recent arrival of Alan Pearce, also of Alder King before LSH, who joined as Director in December to head up LSH’s South West and Wales planning team.   Both Dale and Alan will be developing a full planning function across the region and providing advice to national, regional and local clients.

Dale started his career in local government development management before he moved into the private sector in 2000, first with RPS and then Alder King, where he was a Director.  His broad based and diverse experience spans both public and private sector clients, with key recent projects including the management of the strategic masterplan for East Bridgwater for Sedgemoor District Council; the coordination and submission of a 260 dwelling application for Edward Ware Homes;  the coordination and submission of a hybrid Special Education Needs School and residential application for Somerset County Council;  two gas powered energy plant applications for Conrad Energy;  the coordination of a 310 dwelling redevelopment including the conversion of a Listed Building on the former University Campus at Caerleon for the University of South Wales, and the provision of neighbour objection rebuttal and advice in defence of a Judicial Review challenge on a new head office proposal for Cedar Care Homes in Clifton, Bristol.

Commenting, Dale said “Joining the extensive LSH network is highly exciting. Opportunities abound in the South West and Wales, and we can make a big impact.  An important part of my remit will be to engage with existing, past and new potential clients to sell our skills going forward, with a particular focus on developing the residential, student, care and energy sectors.”

LSH Head of Planning Alan Pearce added: “Dale's extensive expertise in bringing together and managing planning project teams to best serve the clients aspirations is very much a strong point, and this is founded in a good practical knowledge of the development process and the commercial realities of development. These are directly transferable skills to his new Director role here at LSH and I am really looking forward to establishing a planning function in this region.”

Head of LSH’s Bristol office, director Peter Musgrove said:  “This a hugely exciting time for LSH's planning and development consultancy.  It’s a key growth area for our business and I’m delighted to welcome Dale to our growing team.”
