A group of 30 clients was treated to an exclusive talk by Jonathan Goring from Ben Ainslie Racing, building on the close relationship that LSH has with BAR, following the provision of valuation and building consultancy advice.

Jonathan explained how the America’s Cup is the world’s oldest sporting event and it has never been won by a British team! In a mission to change that Ben Ainslie has achieved a unique feat in bringing together the only America’s Cup team that is based in one place, in an outstanding head quarters that took just 10 months from planning to completion.

Focusing on design, simulation, data sensing and analysis, Ben and his team are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for the cup. Alongside this is a desire to involve and promote local communities and get more people involved in sport. We had an exclusive reveal of the news that Jaguar Landrover has just agreed to be the BAR main sponsor and a sneak peak at the just finished building.

This was followed by a champagne reception, guided tour and lunch at Spitbank Fort – a newly refurbished ex-military fort based just off the coast of Portsmouth. Full of interesting features and history, this was a fascinating place to spend the afternoon.
