The business park is on the former Fuchs Lubricants site, which was acquired by GLEP Developments Ltd, advised by Lambert Smith Hampton, in 2014.
A planning application has now been submitted for a two phase light industrial and warehousing scheme, which will comprise both refurbished existing and new build opportunities across a two acre site.
The site is currently being cleared and refurbishment works on the remaining buildings is underway, with a view to the first phase being completed in June. This will comprise six units each with their own self contained yard and improved road circulation. Phase two with the new build units is expected to complete in early 2016.
Paul Fitch, Director – Industrial & Logistics at Lambert Smith Hampton, commented: “The north London area, in line with most inner M25 locations, saw significant take-up and rental growth in 2014. With a marked lack of industrial stock and almost zero availability of smaller units, this development will be very welcome.”
Steven Wright, Associate Director at GLEP Developments Ltd, added: “We have a strong track record of developing units in north London and this site in Edmonton complements our existing portfolio. With close proximity to the A406 and M11, Edmonton is an ideal location for a company looking for a base for their industrial and logistics hubs, and we expect these units to receive significant interest.”
Gilmartin Ley is acting as joint agent.
