We were instructed as joint letting agents by Urban Splash for their iconic Royal William Yard redevelopment in Plymouth.

Royal William Yard is a former naval supply depot situated on a 15 acre site with dramatic views across Plymouth Sound and the River Tamar. It is the largest collection of Grade I and II listed buildings in Europe and has won a number of high profile design awards including the prestigious RIBA award for architecture.

Targeted marketing programme

Our initial goal was to raise awareness of the scheme with multiple restaurateurs, retailers and retail agents. This was achieved by a targeted marketing programme via presentations and follow-up visits.

The aim was to attract quality, aspirational restaurateurs and retailers to a specialist location remote from existing leisure facilities within Plymouth City Centre. It was essential that they complement the existing tenant line up which includes Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall`s River Cottage, Prezzo and Seco Lounge.

New lettings secured to variety of quality occupiers

As the scheme’s reputation grew, in conjunction with our joint agents, we secured new letting’s to Wagamama's, Las Iguanas, Le Bistrot Pierre and a variety of good quality local occupiers.

Increased tenant demand sees rents rise by 50%

As a result of the increased tenant demand we were able to raise the rental tone by 50% and identified a number of further multiple occupiers who were interested in opening space within Royal William Yard when future phases of the refurbishment programme are completed.
