Around 40 mouth-watering creations were submitted for judging over a 10-week period, with the final being held on Monday 28 December.

Technology Business Applications Manager, James Skedgel, was crowned the ultimate winner with his Chocolate Orange Sponge cake, and dedicated the proceeds to his nominated charity, the Alzheimer’s Society.

Head judge, Paul ‘Hollywood’ Barnett, Head of Transport Consultancy in Leeds, commented: “I’d like to thank everyone in the office for getting behind this initiative and helping us to achieve such a fantastic fundraising total.

“The standard of the bakes was superb although, with Christmas just around the corner, I’ll be glad not to see another chocolate cake for a few weeks!”
