Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has appointed a new Associate Director to the Birmingham office, boosting its Building Consultancy team further.

Seonaid Brown joins LSH following spells at Smith Gore and Jones Lang Lasalle, where she was a chartered building surveyor working across a wide range of disciplines, including residential, industrial, office, retail, education and social housing sectors.

A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) with six years’ post-qualification experience, Seonaid is vice-chair of the RICS Matrics West Midlands committee, which looks after the interests of those entering the surveying profession.

The Nottingham Trent University graduate, where she attained a first class building surveying degree, also assists with the APC process for aspiring building surveying/ architectural technologist graduates.

Seonaid, from Solihull - a keen fundraiser who took part in a charity walk from London to Brighton for the British Heart Foundation - said she was keen to join LSH because it is a company that has ambitions to expand across the country.

“LSH is a dynamic business that has a reputation for providing a first-class service across the whole commercial property sector,” she said. “Being appointed associate director is the logical next step in my career and I am thrilled to be joining LSH’s building surveying team.”

Welcoming Seonaid to LSH, Alexa Cotterell, Director of Building Consultancy in Birmingham, said: “Seonaid’s arrival comes at a time when we are making a concerted effort to expand our profile and portfolio across the city and beyond. Her expertise in a wide range of sectors and clients will bring a wealth of knowledge to our existing, highly talented team.”
