We encourage members to complete the survey. RICS will use the results of the research to influence the government.
EPR actively dampens the commercial property market
EPR is a tax on the ownership of empty properties. Its intention is to encourage owners to redevelop and use or let their empty properties. However, we think it fails in this aim, and instead dampens the development market and damages many businesses. Since its inception, we have actively campaigned against it.
