Ian Kibble has been appointed Head of our Birmingham office, where he will also lead the Agency team. Ian is taking over from Terry Corns, who has headed up the Birmingham office for five years, and is retiring from this role.
Ian has been Head of our Hertfordshire office in St Albans for over 20 years, and Head of our East Region for six years. He brings with him extensive experience of office and industrial development agency, working with high profile clients such as SEGRO, ProLogis, Canada Life, MEPC and Frontier Estates. Ian has also advised many public sector bodies, including Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire County Councils and Homes & Communities on landmark and strategic projects.
Focus on investment
Ian commented: “This is a great opportunity for me to join an energetic and highly skilled team of professionals, at a time when property markets appear to be recovering from one of the sharpest downturns ever experienced. We will be looking to build on our extensive private and public sector client base by continuing to invest strongly in people and technology so we can continue to justify our prime aim of being a trusted advisor.”
Strength of our network to benefit clients
In addition to taking on the role of Head of Office, Ian has been appointed as Regional Director for the region, incorporating offices across the Midlands including Nottingham, Leicester and Northampton. This joined-up approach, underpinned by Ian’s role in Birmingham as the region’s largest office, will ensure that clients benefit from multiple service lines and co-ordinated expertise.
Ian added: “LSH has an unrivalled spread of offices across the UK and Ireland, meaning that our clients benefit from market knowledge on national, regional and local levels. The regional structure of our business, directed by on-the-ground professionals, will ensure that this expertise and experience is delivered consistently and effectively to the benefit of commercial property owners, occupiers and public sector bodies.”
In retiring from his Head of Office role, Terry will continue his extensive dispute resolution work with arbitration and independent expert appointments which he receives from the President of the RICS and others, and will remain available for strategic client advice in support of the Birmingham team.
