Hodgson Elkington is the largest surveying practice in Lincoln and the county’s most active commercial advisor. The firm is widely recognised for its breadth and depth of expertise, particularly in commercial property agency, commercial and residential development land, property management, where it has over 4,000 occupiers paying rents and service charges; and its professional work of valuations and rent reviews, where it is the region’s number one.
Last year alone, it advised on over £1 billion of real estate and is currently active on over 300 acres of development land. The business acts for both the private and public sector.
Adam Ramshaw, who heads up Lambert Smith Hampton’s existing East Midlands offices in Nottingham and Leicester and who will also assume overall responsibility moving forward for the Lincoln team said: “This move to bring Hodgson Elkington into the LSH family provides us with complete on the ground coverage across the East Midlands and an unrivalled platform to service our clients no matter where they are in the region.
“Lambert Smith Hampton is committed to growth and we are continuing to invest in areas we believe we can add the most value for clients and provide further insight and market intelligence.
“I’m proud of our strategy to become the leading national property consultancy. It enables me to identify opportunities to join with specialists such as Hodgson Elkington.”
As part of the transaction Sam Elkington – Hodgson Elkington Senior Partner and one of its founders – will become head of the new LSH Lincoln office. Sam Elkington said: “We have seen our business grow every year from its inception including during the recession. We also have an extremely exciting future ahead of us.
“I am pleased that the whole Hodgson Elkington team is transferring across to Lambert Smith Hampton as part of the deal. Lambert Smith Hampton is one of the industry’s most ambitious operators and there is a real buzz about the place. There is a lot that we can achieve together and we are looking forward to joining forces with one of the country’s fastest growing consultancies. We have won a number of national awards over recent years and see this deal as an opportunity to further enhance the breadth of our services offered to clients.”
