Under the agreement, Lambert Smith Hampton will advise on the sale of its current West Hampstead base and in its place acquire new premises for the opera company. In addition, our Major Projects team will project manage the construction of the new site.

ENO took up residence in its current base in 1975. Due to expansion and the need for increasingly modern facilities, it’s anticipated the ENO will move into its new home in 2023.

ENO hope to create new, modern facilities for rehearsals, storage and company operations. The organisation is seeking a property or land to enable them to create a fit-for-purpose Rehearsal and Production Centre that will strengthen its offering including opening its doors more widely to surrounding communities. ENO will use this as an opportunity to engage with local communities and work with them closely – adding to the local area’s business ecosystem.

Jonathan Scott, Director – Office Advisory, at LSH commented:

“ENO is a national institution steeped in history and prestige. It deserves a new world-class home for its production and office operations. We can’t wait to get started on this fantastic brief working as an extension of ENO’s in-house team.”

Karen Watson, Chief Operating Officer, at English National Opera, said:

“This announcement marks an exciting phase in ENO’s history. We are keen that our facilities can allow us to cater for our needs – so that we can continue to produce ground-breaking work and attract new audiences to opera. We are looking forward to working with LSH as we search for a new Rehearsal and Production centre.”
