The consultancy, which is already supporting young people by appointing apprentices who want to follow a career as RICS-qualified chartered surveyors or in marketing, finance and administration, has taken on five new graduates, who will now undergo an intensive two-year training before taking their Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) qualification exams.

The Birmingham office, in Edmund Street, is also supporting a university student for the academic year as part of his sandwich degree course, where he will work in a number of departments to gain crucial industry experience.

Adam Ramshaw, regional director Birmingham, said: “We are committed to recruiting the very best young talent and supporting them through their development.

“Once again our graduate scheme has been heavily over-subscribed and we are confident that we’ve selected the brightest talent to start their commercial property careers with us. Our apprenticeship scheme is also proving to be a success. Our trainees will get fantastic training here at LSH and I know they will go on to achieve great things in our industry.”

Lucy Smith, a law graduate, and Megan Green, who has a degree in modern languages and European studies, are working in LSH’s property management department and will both study for a Master’s degree in Real Estate from University College of Estate Management (UCEM). Gulraj Singh Jheeta has joined the building consultancy team after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in building surveying, while Zoe Thompson, a real estate management graduate, has joined the valuation department.

Lauren Milner also joined LSH’s valuation department as a graduate surveyor from Bruton Knowles, where she completed the first two years of her training and is now being supported to complete her APC in November, while Keir Forsyth, who is studying property development at Portsmouth University, has joined on student placement.
