The annual awards ceremony, which is run in aid of Yorkshire children’s charity Variety, is the largest property event in the region with over 1,000 professionals from across the Yorkshire commercial property sector in attendance.

The Rising Star Award is a new category that has been introduced to recognise rising talent in the Yorkshire property sector and Lucy’s drive and determination clearly wowed the judges.

After joining the business in 2013 as an Administrator, Lucy quickly got involved in receivership work and it was not long before she was confident in dealing with the day to day activities of managing distressed portfolios and working in an agency capacity to sell them.  In 2016, Lucy began studying part-time for a Masters in Real Estate from Sheffield Hallam University to enable her to become a Chartered Surveyor. Not content with balancing work and university, she is also currently studying towards her APC, which she will sit in October 2018.

Lucy continuously pushes herself beyond her comfort zone and, in October 2017, she fought off stiff competition to reach the final of RICS Matrics Auction Competition. Having made it past the semi-finals at the regional stage, Lucy competed with eight other aspiring auctioneers in the national final in London.

“She is a shining example of the fantastic junior talent that we have at LSH and is a very worthy winner of this award.” 

Lucy added: “To be recognised by your peers is the ultimate compliment and I hope this award inspires others to believe in their career aspirations and follow a similar path.”
