A number of South Yorkshire’s pre-eminent property professionals went head to head at Sheffield United’s football ground at Bramall Lane last night (Wednesday 23 May 2018) in a special charity football match.

It was the second year of the Monaghan’s All Stars v LSH All Comers Master Cutler Challenge, which was held in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Ninety minutes frenetic footballing ended in the LSH All Comers claiming a victory over Monaghan’s All Stars during a penalty shoot-out following an entertaining 2-2 draw.

The event raised over £5,000 which will go towards funding things like specialist nurses, hydrotherapy sessions to alleviate pressure sores and skin conditions, and art therapy sessions to work with siblings who are trying to come to terms with the death of their brother or sister.

LSH All Comers Manager, Nick Blackwell, commented: “We’re really pleased to be a part of the Master Cutler Challenge for the second year running. Not only does it raise money for such a worthy cause, it also gives some of us oldies the chance to dust our boots off and show the youngsters what we’re made of! If England need a lesson in taking penalties before heading off to Russia, they should come and see us!

Russ Hall, Corporate Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, added: “I’d like to thank both teams for being part of such a great event. The money raised will make a massive difference to the 257 children and families we are currently supporting.”
