The CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.

We are one of 12 suppliers appointed under Lot 1 – for national Estates Professional Services. It is also one of five appointed under Lot 3 – for Vertical Real Estate (primarily telecommunications). The new four-year agreement commenced on October 1st.

The framework includes all public sector property across central government, local government, health, education and emergency services and is available to the majority of UK public sector bodies.

It covers a range of property-related services, including reducing the size of estates, exiting inefficient leases, reducing running costs, releasing capital, supporting the government's sustainability agenda and facilitating flexible and joint departmental working.

Stephen Armitage, head of our public sector team, said: “Our public sector specialists help the sector use their property portfolios more efficiently, reducing costs and ensuring value for money. Finding savings is imperative in the current climate, where the public sector is under significant budgetary constraint.

“Due to changing policies and new working practices, many public sector organisations find their property portfolios no longer support the delivery of front line services and back office operations in a cost effective way. With this four-year CCS agreement, we can help reduce unnecessary estates costs and increase efficiency for even more public sector organisations.”
