24 colleagues from Lambert Smith Hampton's (LSH) Leeds and Newcastle offices have completed the grueling Langdale 10 hiking challenge in the Lake District, raising money for chosen charity the Alzheimer’s Society.

The 15 mile undertaking saw the LSH team scale a total of ten peaks within the Langdale Valley, in just over 9 hours. All ten peaks were well over 2,000 ft in height, with the total climb significantly in excess of the ascent of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge the LSH team completed in 2014 and 2015.

Setting an initial target fundraising total of £2,500, the team has now raised over £3,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. The Alzheimer’s Society is the UK's leading dementia support and research charity, providing support for anyone affected by any form of dementia across the UK. The charity has around 3,000 community-based services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, providing practical and emotional support for people with dementia and their carers. The Alzheimer’s Society also provides regular information and research about the disease, in addition to lobbying to influence health and social care commissioners and improve public understanding of dementia.

Jon Anderson, Head of LSH’s Leeds office, said: “Despite a few aching muscles, we are all thrilled to have completed such a demanding challenge and to have surpassed our fundraising total in support of the Alzheimer’s Society. Having completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for the past two years, it was a great adventure to take on something new and to have raised funds for such a worthy cause in the process.”
