Respondents were asked to suggest how innovative thinking from the property industry can help make devolved government a success.  Around 70 organisations and individuals submitted their ideas.

The shortlist, which was announced this morning in Property Week magazine, comprises submissions from:
  • Daniel Campbell and Peter Carstensen
  • A consortium from Sheffield City Region (The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Harworth Estates, Sheffield Business Park, Creative Sheffield and Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council)
  • ResPublica
  • Shelter
  • TownCentred
  • Thaddaeus Jackson-Browne

Further information about the submission can be found on the Enterprise Award website.

Ezra Nahome, CEO of Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “Devolution presents a real opportunity for the property industry to help tackle some of the UK’s most pressing issues. We knew that there was huge amount of clever thinking within our industry, but that too often it hadn’t been given a chance to see the light of day. The Enterprise Award was launched to help change that and, given the calibre of the entries in the shortlist, I’d argue that we have collectively succeeded in unleashing the sector’s creativity.

“The shortlisted entries for the Enterprise Award showcase the best and most creative thinking that will be required if devolution is to become a success.  These Award entries provide food for thought for not just the property industry but for UK plc and policymakers.”

Melanie Leech, CEO of the British Property Federation and judge of the LSH Enterprise Award, added: “The range of interesting, thoughtful and potentially impactful submissions is fantastic to see. The property industry has an important role to play in making devolution a success for the UK; the Award shortlist represents a valuable contribution to policymaking.”

The winner of the Enterprise Award, which will be chosen by a panel of respected industry experts, will be announced on 20 November 2015.  You can also help to select  a ‘People’s Choice’ winner by voting for your preferred submission on the Property Week website
