Final piece of jigsaw as LSH takes new space in Leeds

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has signed a lease on a new office in Leeds City Centre to accommodate the growth of its business following the acquisition of ES Group earlier this year.

LSH acquired the 260-strong ES Group, a national property consultancy with a strong presence in the north, including an office of 19 in St Paul’s Street in Leeds where they have been based for the past 10 years, in March 2015.

The former ES Group office has now closed and the two operations have merged to form a team of 50 in a new office after LSH took a 10-year lease on the entire 4th floor of Bond Court in the centre of Leeds - the same building where LSH has occupied a significantly smaller suite on the ground floor since 2011.

Jon Anderson, Head of LSH’s Leeds office, said the move was the final piece of the jigsaw as the two businesses fully amalgamated and capitalised on the benefits offered by the co-location.

He said: “The acquisition of ES Group allowed LSH to strengthen its existing offer in the region while also introducing a range of new service lines and, over the past six months, we have been working closely with the former ES team to understand how best to use our combined strength to the benefit of our clients and the wider business.

“During that time we have been looking for the right space in Leeds City Centre and taking the 4th floor of Bond Court allows us to stay in the same building but with a significantly higher specification office and first class client-facing facilities, as well as giving us room for further growth.

“Most importantly, it will allow much closer inter-departmental working and sharing of best practice which will help us provide an even better service to our existing clients, as well as help us grow the business.

Matthew Scrimshaw, Head of Yorkshire and the North East for LSH, added: “These are exciting times for the north of England with the buzz surrounding the Government’s commitment to the Northern Powerhouse initiative. Our office move is part of a major investment by LSH across the region, which has also seen our Sheffield team move into a new office earlier this year, and our Manchester and Liverpool offices combined have created the largest consultancy in the North West. Our Newcastle team is also due to relocate to new premises in October of this year.

“From our growing network across the north of England - that stretches from Liverpool to Newcastle - we have an unrivalled understanding of the northern commercial property markets, and our investment in new offices - and the talent to fill them - will give us a fantastic platform to grasp the opportunities that the Northern Powerhouse will inevitably bring.”
