The specialist motor insurance company is to occupy 34,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, relocating from its current base at Cardigan House on Phoenix Way on Swansea Enterprise Park.

The new premises will accommodate ERS’s operations requirements and expansion plans as the company plans to increase its headcount from 230 to more than 400 over the coming months through an extensive recruitment drive.

Crucible Park was developed speculatively in 2009 at the Swansea Vale Business Park which has become a popular strategic destination for companies and includes other high profile occupiers including the DVLA, Admiral Insurance and Arvato.

ERS is currently working with Morgan Lovell to complete its fit out with a view to moving into Crucible Park towards the end of July.

Says Tom Rees of LSH’s agency team: “This is a significant letting for South Wales and the largest office letting in Swansea for many years. I believe the quality of office specification on offer at Crucible Park was a key reason for ERS’s move and provides further evidence of Swansea Vale’s popularity as a business location.”
ERS’s new BREAM ‘very good’ rated home benefits from generous parking provisions, attractive landscaping, advanced telecommunications and a flexible open-plan layout, all of which will help to support the company’s operational and business needs.

Tim Yorke, Chief Operating Officer of ERS comments: “Crucible Park certainly fits our immediate and long-term needs. It is ideally placed geographically as it allows us to recruit from a pool of potential employees not just in Swansea but along the M4 corridor and into the valleys of south west Wales as well as Carmarthenshire. The upgrade of building “image” was also a key factor in our move.”

“We’ve been providing insurance products for more than 60 years and are certainly looking forward accelerating our growth and affirming our place in the UK market as the “specialist-motor, broker-only insurer”. We are confident that our new Swansea base will prove a key factor our future success.”

Knight Frank acted as Joint Agents.
