LSH is acting as agent for Exeter Science Park and is actively seeking science and technology businesses to occupy a series of grow-on buildings.
 
The buildings are being developed as part of the first phase of the science park, which includes the £8 million Science Park Centre for collaboration and innovation opening in spring 2015.
 
Gerry Shattock, general manager for Exeter Science Park, said the “grow-on” spaces will appeal to companies that require accommodation between 1,500 sq ft and 5,000 sq ft in size.
 
“We have designed a series of buildings to meet the needs of high-growth, science-based occupiers,” he said. “These buildings are specifically designed to accommodate the changing needs of businesses as they grow and need to adapt their work space to manage this growth.”
 
Peter Barrett, associate director of office agency at LSH, said flexible lease terms would help occupiers avoid exposure to risk and large capital outlay, although purchase options will also be available.
 
The new spaces will include high quality offices, laboratories, access doors for heavy loading and ultra-high speed resilient internet connectivity. “Organisations based in the grow-on space will also benefit from access to wider markets and supply chains through collaboration with like-minded companies.”
 
The Science Park Centre is backed by funds from the Heart of the South West LEP’s Growing Places Fund and BIS’s Regional Growth Fund together with equity from the company’s shareholders, Devon County Council, East Devon District Council, Exeter City Council and the University of Exeter.
