At 6B Lion Way, the long leasehold of Unit Two (3,726 sq ft) has been sold to Trade Cars Direct.  The independent business specialises in the sale of second hand vehicles within the motor trade.

At Century Park, the long leasehold of Unit 1A (5,844 sq ft) reached a price of £158,000 in a sale to Samatrix Limited.

Expansion leading to larger space requirement

Samatrix specialises in the supply and maintenance of pumping systems and equipment for water and wastewater applications. Over the past two years, the organisation has increased its customer base and number of contracts by more than 40 per cent, with plans for further expansion.

The company wanted larger premises to act as a workshop and distribution depot, serving customers along the M4 corridor and the West. According to Samatrix, the new Century Park premises are ideal in terms of location, accessibility and the space available to accommodate future growth.

Jason Thorne of our industrial agency team comments: “We have seen a steady increase in the demand for freehold/long leasehold properties where local businesses are looking to buy rather than rent.

“This coupled with the banks starting to lend at the lower end of the market and a shortage of available premises is pushing the prices up."
