Public sector estates strategy and portfolio rationalisation

Our public sector team will help you develop and deliver an estates strategy that supports your wider objectives and meets stakeholder expectations.

From ensuring you have accommodation in the right locations to developing an estate which is fit for purpose, we will work with you to determine the right long-term approach. What’s more, we will support you in implementing the strategy, freeing resource and budget for expenditure on the delivery of services to your customers

Supporting you through an operational and non-operational strategic review

We engage with your stakeholders to ensure that we understand your current and future requirements. A robust property strategy will support your operational requirements and will also support the delivery of non-occupational issues such as the localism agenda or the Council’s economic development ambitions.

We have considerable experience in supporting clients through the strategic review process for both operational and non operational assets, and provide direct delivery or support a client-led team in implementation.

Options appraisal and financial analysis

Once the review is complete, the next phase is to develop options and carry out analysis and evaluation using scenario and financial modelling. We cover every angle, looking at taxation and business issues, VAT implications, cashflow, capital receipts and funding options in order to identify the optimal solution.

Enabling delivery of your property strategy

We regularly implement the recommendations from strategic engagements using our extensive market knowledge and commercial property skills, to ensure you have accommodation in the right locations and an estate which is fit for purpose.

We also provide supporting documentation to enable delivery of your strategy, such as our ‘Localism Toolkit’ which enables cost effective delivery of a strategic programme.
