The team has held five sales in 2015, raising £60 million - up 25% on last year, with an average success rate for the year remaining the same as last year at 89% - one of the highest in the industry.
Concluding a successful year of sales, Oliver Childs, head of auctions, comments, "The success of LSH Auctions has been possible with dedication and hard work of the team and the continued support of our loyal and expanding client base. With careful pricing, buyers have fought to purchase assets where they have seen an opportunity.
"As an auctioneer, one always hopes to find a busy room. In fact, at our last sale in 2015, half way through the sale there were twice as many people than at the start. The bidding was keen and emotional - one private individual in the room, outbid a developer on the telephone to secure a site close to her home that she had wanted to buy for over 30 years. Not only did the site triple it's reserve price, the individual received a round of applause once the hammer fell; something uncommon in today's commercial and fast-paced market."
Our next property sale is on 22 February at Le Meridien, 21 Piccadilly, London, W1J 0BH and our auction calendar for the whole of 2016 can be viewed HERE.
LSH also offers an industry leading plant and machinery auction service - you can find out more about this HERE.
