Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has appointed a new Associate Director to its Industrial and Logistics Agency team in Birmingham.

Matthew Tilt joins LSH at its Edmund Street offices from Wolverhampton-based chartered surveyors Bulleys where he has worked for seven years, managing its Telford office since 2010.

He said: “LSH has a fantastic pedigree in industrial and logistics and has been enormously successful in the sector. The opportunity to join the team in Birmingham was therefore one offer I couldn’t refuse.

“I’m looking forward to working with our clients in a market that presents many opportunities but also the challenges associated with increasing demand from occupiers and a shortfall in supply.”

Matthew, aged 33, from Ironbridge in Shropshire, began his career at Towler Shaw Roberts chartered surveyors after gaining a MSc in Real Estate Management at the University of Central England.

Birmingham Head of Office Adam Ramshaw said: “The industrial and logistics sector in Birmingham and right across the Midlands is extremely active and we expect it to remain so for some considerable time. Matthew has invaluable experience in the sector and is a very welcome addition to our team.”

New dedicated sector specialist service

Alex Carr, Industrial Agency Director at LSH in Birmingham, is in the new year joining Head of Industrial and Logistics, Steve Williams, to form a new team alongside Nick Lloyd, Head of Capital Markets, at the company’s London office.

Alex, who has enjoyed a very successful eight years working in the West Midlands industrial, warehouse and distribution market, will relocate to London in January for the launch of the service.

He will work closely with Steve and Nick to create a dedicated sector specialist service for clients, offering high quality investment agency, consultancy, funding and occupational advice in the industrial and logistics sector.
