Lambert Smith Hampton appointed on exciting new scheme in Northampton

18/09/2014

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has been appointed agent for FOUR Waterside, a high quality office development in Northampton’s Enterprise Zone.

The scheme consists of four new office buildings with work expected to commence on them in 2015. Kier Property, the development arm of Kier Group, will act as development partner following selection by Northampton Borough Council.

The office buildings will range from 2,700 sq m to 20,000 sq m, and will create a new business quarter in Central Northampton and a gateway to the Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone. The scheme will benefit from convenient access to public transport links and other amenities. It is a key part of Northampton Alive, a massive regeneration programme for the town. The programme has already seen a £20m regeneration at Northampton’s Castle railway station, and a new Innovation Centre constructed adjacent to the site.

Ian Leather, Lambert Smith Hampton’s Head of Office Agency for the M1 corridor comments: “We are delighted to be appointed on this prestigious scheme supporting Kier and Northampton Borough Council.  With no new office development taking place in the area for many years, we believe the time is right for the delivery of this scheme which will be transformational for Northampton and the East Midlands. We are already engaging with end users on bespoke requirements and have seen a lot of interest from parties both located in the area, as well as inward movers wanting to relocate in to the heart of Northampton.”
